Every pack price includes installation, cable and terminal inspection with anti-corrosion coating, a full watering on flooded packs, hold-down torque, a test drive, and haul-away of the old cores. Because the lead in old batteries is worth recycling, we charge no disposal fee and you are not left with 60-pound batteries in the garage.
Every lithium conversion comes with a charger made for lithium, since a lead-acid charging profile cannot charge a LiFePO4 pack correctly. Heat drives the last row here more than moisture does. A garage or golf cart barn that bakes at 100°F-plus for months oxidizes cable lugs and charge-port pins just as reliably as a humid climate does, just by a different mechanism, and a corroded connection mimics a dying pack. Arizona’s statutes give a plain golf cart very little room on a public street. A.R.S. 28-721(C), the one clause that lets a golf cart use a paved shoulder, applies only to unincorporated age-restricted communities in a county of more than three million people, which describes Maricopa County, not Pinal County. We could not find a City of Casa Grande or Pinal County ordinance filling that gap. What a light kit does buy you is a cart that meets the equipment side of Arizona’s neighborhood electric vehicle rules (A.R.S. 28-966) if the vehicle itself is built to that federal standard, and it is simply the right thing to have on any cart that leaves a driveway after dark, on any road. What moves a price inside its range
- Pack voltage and battery brand. Six premium Trojan 8-volts for a 48V cart cost more than six budget 6-volts for a 36V cart. No other line on this page moves as much.
- Cart type. LSVs from ICON and Evolution use different controllers, onboard chargers, and lithium battery-management systems than a 15-year-old Club Car DS. Parts cost more and diagnostics take longer.
- Lifted and modified carts. Oversize tires, custom rims, and aftermarket controllers raise the parts bill and can add labor.
- Corrosion. A cart that has sat through several Pinal County summers without terminal care often needs cables replaced alongside the batteries. We will show you the cable before it goes on the quote.
- Distance. How far we drive shows up in the trip fee, never in the repair price. Repair prices are the same in Coolidge as in Robson Ranch.
What is not on the list
Two items are left off. Factory warranty work is not part of this, because we are independent and not authorized by Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, or Evolution. Warranty claims belong with your selling dealer. And a repair is not always worth quoting: on an old cart with a tired frame, a failing controller, and a dead pack, the honest number is sometimes “put the money toward a newer cart,” and we will say that instead of writing a $2,000 ticket.
Getting an exact number
Tell us the make, the model year if you have it, gas or electric, how many batteries it carries (six 6-volts is 36V; six 8-volts or four 12-volts is 48V), and what is going wrong. Nothing speeds a quote like a picture of the batteries under the seat. We reply with a flat quote and a time window; questions that pop up before the visit are mostly answered in the FAQ.
