The heat is real here too

NOAA’s climate station at Eloy (4 NE) puts the June average high at 106.5°F and July at 107.2°F, slightly hotter than the Casa Grande station a short drive away, and counts 122.3 days a year at 100°F or above against an annual average high of 88.9°F. That is enough heat to shorten a flooded lead-acid pack’s life by a year or more without a consistent watering schedule through the worst months, and it is why our battery replacement visits here always start with a load test rather than an assumption.

Agriculture, dust, and what it does to a cart

Eloy’s roots as a cotton-farming town are still visible on the ground: open fields and unpaved field roads sit close to residential and resort development on the city’s edges. That combination of tilled soil and desert wind is exactly the setup that produces blowing dust, and this stretch of Arizona is inside the corridor where haboobs, fast-moving dust walls that can run 22 to 62 mph and stretch dozens of miles across, are a recognized summer hazard.
