Palm Creek Resort & Residences is a 55-plus community managed by Sun Communities whose RV sites accommodate rigs up to 50 feet with full hookups, built around an 18-hole par-3 golf course, a clubhouse, a fitness center, dog parks, art classes, and a full weekly activity schedule. Val Vista RV Resort, also 55-plus and age-qualified, runs its own clubhouse, community kitchen, dog park, fitness center, hot tub, library, pickleball courts, pool, and a mini-golf course, and residents who want a full round use the nearby Mission Royale Golf Club rather than an on-site course. Desert Springs Ranch, at 3290 S. Montgomery Rd, is a 55-plus community with its own 9-hole executive golf course, pickleball courts, a pool and hot tub, a clubhouse, an exercise room, and a dog park.

NOAA’s Casa Grande station counts 116.8 days a year at 100°F or above, enough that leaving a golf cart parked through the hottest stretch is close to standard practice rather than an exception. A pack that goes into storage fully charged and gets a monthly top-off usually comes back fine in the fall.
